Chapter 392
"The rest is up to you now," Dustin said to Shawna, who had personally come to see him off. They were at the entrance of Creative Arts Corporation, and Dustin had changed out of his security guard uniform.
Shawna had become the head of the Riley family. She had a much higher standing than before.
Dustin had given her the platform to show off her skills. What she did with it was up to her own abilities.
If nothing unexpected happened, Dustin would not interfere.
"Thank you, Dustin," Shawna said sincerely.
"You helped Mrs. Swift, so I helped you. We're even," Dustin said with a smile.
"We're even, huh?" Shawna looked a bit disappointed.
After a moment, she smiled and looked up.
"Don't worry. I won't disappoint you," she said.
Dustin nodded and waved goodbye. Then, he turned around and left.
"Dustin!" Shawna cried out.
Dustin turned to her.
"Are we... friends?" Shawna asked.
"Aren't we?" Dustin grinned. He waved again and turned back.
Shawna smiled as she watched him leave.
"It's not bad being friends..."
When Dustin walked out of Creative Arts Corporation, there was a car waiting for him.
Ever since the people from Star Tower visited him here, there was always some arrangement made already for his transportation.
If he was not mistaken, the person in the driver's seat was the Governor of Grayvale, Homer Freeman.
Anyone would be shocked that someone so important was serving as Dustin's driver.
When he saw Dustin approaching, Homer quickly got out of the car and bowed to him. Then, he opened the door for Dustin before jogging over to the driver's seat.
"Didn't I say that important people like you shouldn't come see me?" Dustin was a little displeased.
"Sir, how could we be remiss in attending to you when you're in Grayvale? It is an honor to serve you!" Homer's tone was flattering.
"Just drive," Dustin said indifferently.
Homer started the car and was about to drive off.
But someone grabbed onto the edge of the window beside Dustin.
The hand was missing a finger.
After that, a face appeared.
"It's you..." Dustin eyed him and raised an eyebrow.
It was Tyler Thornton, the supposed genius of Grayvale.
et
He was supposedly in love with Allison. He had come to challenge Dustin when he found out that Allison had chosen Dustin and lost a finger for his efforts.
"Are you still unhappy about what happened?" Dustin was indifferent.
Tyler's face looked thunderous.
"I need your help with something," he said with gritted teeth.
"Oh?"
Dustin looked surprised.
Tyler considered him a rival, so it was unusual for him to ask Dustin for help.
"That's quite strange." Dustin smiled in amusement.
"You have to help me!" It was clear that Tyler did not know how to ask for help. His voice was loud but emotionless.
"Who'd help you when you're asking this way?" Dustin's expression turned dark.
Tyler's expression shifted. He suddenly gritted his teeth and got down on one knee outside the window.
Dustin raised an eyebrow.
Someone like Tyler was obsessed
with martial arts. He had been at the top for too long and was arrogant and conceited. It was difficult for someone like him to lower himself that way.
His gesture showed how determined and sincere he was.noveldrama
"I'm begging you to help me!" Tyler said loudly, as though his tone alone could shatter the car windows.
Dustin smirked mockingly.
"Do you think I'll help you just because you kneel before me? What a joke!” Dustin ignored Tyler.
He was the King of Hades. There
were countless people who had begged him for things in the past. If he helped every single person who begged him, he would have been too busy to do anything else.
What do you think?
