"Does Majestic Hotel sell Ronan wine?" Dustin asked as he held onto the wine glass.

"We do. Our hotel has a stock of Ronan wine. A bottle sells for at least 100 thousand dollars. The most expensive bottle could be around 700 or 800 thousand dollars," Tucker said immediately.

"The expensive ones are priced that way because they're vintage. The most valuable among them are priceless and are only very rarely brought out for special guests. Every time this happens, I must first give my approval."

Dustin smirked.

"What a coincidence. My generous friend brought three of the hotel's bottles of rare wine as a treat for this reunion."

Tucker's face stiffened when he heard this.

He turned around and glared at Cody. He asked, "Cody, what's going on?"

Cody was shaking all over. He looked scared.

"Boss, I did not disobey your orders. These bottles of wine are not from our hotel cellars," he said in fear.

"Well, that's strange." Dustin smiled at Marco before looking at Cody again. "Didn't you swear that this wine was from Majestic Hotel? You even wanted to take legal action against me for slander..."

Cody's face turned ashen. He immediately bowed to Dustin.

"It's my fault. I was arrogant and offended you..." Then, Cody slapped himself.

"I didn't know that you were the secret boss of our hotel. I would never have said such things to you had I known that!”

Everyone in the ballroom looked indignant.

Cody had acted so condescending and forbidding before, almost like he wanted to eat Dustin alive.

Yet, he was practically groveling before Dustin at the moment. He was scared out of his wits.

How the tables had turned!

"Cody, what is the meaning of this? Explain!" Tucker yelled once he realized something was amiss.

“Boss, I made a mistake. Please forgive me just this once," Cody said somberly.

"It was him. It was all him!" Cody shouted and pointed at Marco. "Marco just had to put on a show and act like he was so generous. He can't afford a vintage Ronan wine but he wanted to show off. He made me give him some of the Ronan wine bottles, and he poured local wine into them. He wanted to fool everyone that way..." Panicked, Cody told them the truth.

Marco looked incensed.

Everyone looked at him and put him on the spot.

"It's clear that the ploy won't work any longer. No one expected that Mr. Fox would be able to taste the difference after just one sip. Marco was afraid of being exposed, so he called me to cause a scene and accuse Mr. Fox of slander!"

After finding out the truth, the guests all looked at Marco differently.

Marco had been trying to look generous and used local wine to fool them into thinking that they were drinking Ronan wine. When he had been found out, he still refused to admit the truth and instead tried to victimize the person who had realized the truth.

What a show it had been!

"Cody, you..." Marco's face turned stormy.

"Don't try to get any sympathy from me!" Cody yelled in anger. "It's because of your ego that you made me do such a thing. How shameless! I've thought it through. I won't be your accomplice anymore!"

Marco's face turned white.

He never imagined that his cousin would say such a thing.

With his relative betraying him, how was Marco going to get out of this?
