Chapter 1228 (End)
Chapter 1228 Mr Onder At Last
Lucy slapped her forehead. "Oh, right. I forgot about that."
Damien gave her a helpless look. "Have you met Mr. Onder, the one I told you to go on a date with?"
Lucy pouted. "No time!"
Just then, the sound of two babies crying came from the delivery room.
The door opened, and a nurse emerged, beaming with excitement. "It's a boy and
a girl!"
Lucy remained unfazed. "Her last pregnancy was also twins."
Damien anxiously peered into the delivery room. "How is their mother?"
"She's doing great."
Cherise, being wheeled out by the doctor, chuckled. "Honey, weren't you the one who insisted on having a third child?"
Now that the babies were born, why was he more concerned about her?
Damien hurried over and hugged her. "Thank you. You've been through so much."
"No more children," Cherise closed her eyes in exasperation. "Four kids already. We'll be overwhelmed with weddings when they grow up. Definitely no more!" Speaking of weddings...
She shot a glare at Lucy. "Haven't you gone on that date yet?"
"Can't be bothered," Lucy waved dismissively. "You just had babies, don't worry about me."noveldrama
Cherise rolled her eyes. "If you keep avoiding Mr. Onder, he's going to be really upset!"
"Then let him find someone else. It's not that hard."
Cherise pouted. If he did truly find someone else, wouldn't you be heartbroken?
At a cemetery in Adania.
Lucy parked her car and walked in, carrying a large bouquet of flowers.
Today was the anniversary of that man's death.
She knew the way by heart. In the past year, she had frequented this place so often that even the old man who guarded the cemetery had become familiar with her.
Lennon's tombstone was in a secluded corner of the cemetery.
She placed the flowers neatly, lit a cigarette, and sighed. "Hey, why did you leave so soon?"
"You missed it. Damien's face when he was presented with another pair of twins by Cherry... he didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Four kids... their house is going to be so chaotic."
"Our home is better with just Alexis, still peaceful and calm. It's just..." She closed
her eyes, a bitter smile playing on her lips. "It's too quiet."
"Recently, Cherise and Damien have. been pushing me to go on a date They say there's a Mr. Onder in the next city who's been admiring me for
a long time."
She patted the tombstone. "I think I'll go meet him."
"Alexis really needs a father. He's about to start elementary school, and a single-
parent household will affect him more and more as he grows up."
"He's already so introverted..."
"But don't worry." She patted her heart. "Even though you were a jerk, you'll
always have a place here."
Lucy turned to look at the man's photo on the tombstone.
But the tombstone was empty. There was only text, no photo.
She jumped up, alarmed. How did this happen?
She quickly stubbed out her cigarette and rushed to the caretaker's office, breathing heavily. "What happened to Lennon's tombstone? Why is the photo missing?"
The old caretaker looked troubled. "Well..."
"Who would remove another man's picture? That jerk might have been handsome, but he's dead!"
She was furious. "Who did this?"
"I did." A cool voice interrupted.
Lucy frowned and reflexively turned around.
The urgency and anger on her face vanished in an instant.
She stood frozen, staring at the man in a suit, leaning on a cane, standing a short distance away.
Her eyes widened in disbelief.
How could it be...
The man walked towards her, step by step, using his cane.
Finally, he stopped in front of her, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Miss Staber"
"You stood me up so many times, I had to come find you myself.'
He extended his hand to her. "Hello, I am Lennon Onder, the man who has always admired you."
What do you think?
