Married for Inheritance-Divorced for Freedom

Chapter 25 Ethan Finds His True Mommy

As Little Ethan and Isaac wandered through the unfamiliar streets of Seoul, their hearts were heavy. Ethan was confused and down. His memories of Charmaine's betrayal, the unsettling events, and the facts he found haunted his young mind. Still, deep inside, a flicker of hope burned bright- the hope of finding his biological mommy, the one who loved him unconditionally, stayed alive in his mind. One would have thought by now that Charmaine would see that she was a loser, but she could not give up on Darrian, which was another reason why she envied and hated Hannah. She lost not only the man but also the child she was using as her puppet and her trump card to get to the father. The child realised how wicked she was, and he had enough evidence that Hannah was his biological mother.

Charmaine lost the battle. During Ethan's captivity and daring escape, he found his mother's diary hidden and all the facts about how Charmaine and her mother colluded to take everything away from Hannah because they hated her mother and Hannah. He read all the facts and concluded that he would find his true Mommy and swear he would have nothing more to do with Charmaine and Naomi. They used him enough.

On the other hand, Isaac told him they needed to find his grandfather. He walked the street hungry and exhausted in the meantime. Hannah was driving home and saw two children, one about her children's age and another about fourteen years old, walking on the bridge leading to their home. They looked lost and hungry. Knowing her son was missing, she stopped her car and offered them some money. In her heart, she felt she should take them home, clean them up and give them a meal and a warm bed. When Ethan saw the car, it looked like Mommy Hannah's car, but he was careful. He hid behind Isaac. Ethan could not trust the twins' mommy if he could not trust his mommy when the vehicle slowed down and came to a halt. Isaac stood still. Hannah walked towards the children, and she gave them some money. Their faces were darkened with dirt. She invited them into her car. They boarded the car without a word. Ethan looked at his mother's gentle smile and eyes full of love as she stood before them. She told them to have a bath.

The children showered, and when they came out of the bathroom. Hannah'was astonished; she ran over to Ethan, hugged him and began to cry; she asked him to forgive her for not protecting him better; he looked at her with sad eyes as a wave of emotion washed over him- relief, joy and sense of belonging that he longed for, as his mother held him to her chest and patted him on the back. As she wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace, he knew he was where he truly belonged- in the arms of the mother who never stopped loving him. She said, "Baby, I would not let that bad Charmaine come near you again." Tears poured down Ethan's cheeks as he heard his Mommy confessing how much she loved him. Now, he is convinced of who his real mommy is and swore he would never leave her again. He hugged her tightly as he sobbed.

Later, Hannah gave them the dinner she had bought for herself as she was preparing to work late. The boys ate a sumptuous meal and fell asleep instantly from exhaustion.

Hannah received a call from Darrian, who told her that Charmaine had called him and confessed that she had kidnapped Ethan. Hannah told him that Ethan had found his way to her. She told Darrian tremblingly that her baby boy was asleep and that he had found his way to his real mommy.

Darrian's heart skipped a beat as he heard those words, a mix of emotions swirling within him. Relief washed over him, knowing that his son had finally returned where he belonged, yet a sense of sadness lingered as he thought of the pain and turmoil that his son endured in his absence.noveldrama

He rushed to Hannah's apartment and went to the room where Ethan and Isaac were fast asleep. He whispered to Hannah, asking her who Isaac was. She told him he helped Ethan escape and protected him. He asked her if they should adopt him into their family. She nodded her head negatively and whispered that he had parents. She told him that they could offer him a scholarship in Seoul, and he could live with them until he finished school.

The following day, they all woke up and went to Grandfather's house, where the twins were. In the living room, Grandfather Martin sat patiently; he had not slept for nights. His heart was heavy. He should have listened to Darrian and kept Ethan away from Charmaine. He worried and longed for the safe return of his precious great-grandson. Suddenly, the door opened, and little Ethan stood with his father. As little Ethan rushed into his grandfather's arms, tears of joy ran down their faces. Grandfather hugged him close, feeling a sense of relief and gratitude that his beloved grandson was back where he belonged- surrounded by love, family, and the warmth of home. Martin's eyes shone with newfound happiness and a sense of peace.

At that moment, Ethan's siblings came forth, and the family embraced each other. Ethan knew no matter where life took him, he would always carry the love and strength of those who had never stopped believing in him- his real mommy, father, siblings, and grandfather. The healing and reunited love journey had just begun, but Ethan knew he was finally home. Cook prepared a delicious breakfast and the family sat down together for the meal. The adults listened to the happy chatter of their family and relished the joy it brought them and the relief that their lost child, who returned to them, brought with his presence in their company.
