Seeing the shocked expression on Seraphina's face, Wilson gave a gentle smile and explained, "I was worried. that if someone saw us watching a movie together, they might misunderstand, so I thought it best to keep it private. We'll wait until you're comfortable with being seen with me."

No matter how unreasonable or unfounded Seraphina's worries were, Wilson patiently embraced her concerns.

He silently understood the things she couldn't bring herself to say.

Seraphina lowered her eyes, feeling guilty for ever doubting his intentions.

How could someone as kind as Wilson have any ulterior motives and manipulate her?

The only one with dark thoughts was her!

Her nose tingled as she glanced at him.

"Mr. Rockwell, you're the ever-considerate gentleman-are you sure you weren't seeing anyone now?" Wilson paused for a moment, then let out a small, amused smile.

"You don't believe me? My attentiveness is simply because I've got a naughty kid at home."

Seraphina smiled slyly and said, "So Daniel is a great excuse, huh?"

Wilson chuckled. "I could defend myself, but I have to admit, I'm actually quite flattered by how much you're interested in my past."

His smile had a warmth to it, and his handsome, calm face radiated an air of quiet nobility.

Seraphina found herself momentarily at a loss for words under his gaze. She found herself losing ground

to him again.

With a sigh, she turned and moved to the seats in the back, the best spot for viewing. Wilson followed closely behind.

The movie began.noveldrama

As the opening credits rolled, the movie title The Black Curse' appeared, dripping with a dark, bloody liquid.

Seraphina furrowed her brow and glanced at Wilson.

"A horror film?"

Why do men consistently choose horror films?

Was it a way to show their strength of will in such a confined space?

It turned out Wilson was no different.

Wilson's expression was clearly surprised. "Isn't this a Trara mythology movie? The ticket clerk at the front said it was promoting Trara culture."

Cultural exchanges between countries are typically elegant and understated, which is fitting for two people like them, right?

But a horror movie?

That was far from what he had expected!

Seraphina realized he had been misled and couldn't help but laugh.

"Well, they didn't exactly lie. It's a Trara horror film after all,"

She found it funny how Wilson's reaction was even more extreme than hers.

Wilson stood up. He was speechless as he shook his head and said, "I'm going to change it."

Seraphina grabbed his sleeve and said, "It's fine. Let's just watch this one."

Wilson sat back down reluctantly, still muttering, "This is outrageous. Girls shouldn't watch these kinds of movies-they'll get scared. No wonder the theater's empty for this showing. What a scam!"

Seraphina noticed how unusually unsettled he was, which only made her smile more. He was acting like a teenager, completely unaware that he was revealing his own vulnerability.

As the music swelled, she focused on the screen.

A cute, innocent girl walked into the bathroom.

The lights flickered and then went out completely.

The eerie music, accompanied by the girl's growing anxiety, filled the space.

Seraphina felt a twinge of tension as she got absorbed in the scene.

Then, the screen went dark, and in less than three seconds, the girl's scream pierced the silence. She tried to push the door open, but it wouldn't budge.

A shadow flitted across the back of the room, sending a jolt of fear through her.

What a fake scene!

Just as Seraphina was about to laugh, eager to share her predictions of what would happen next, she noticed. Wilson, his face pale, his hands covering his eyes.

He was too scared to look!

Seraphina was stunned. Was a grown man like him frightened?

"Mr. Rockwell, are you okay?"
