Falling for My Contractual Wife

Chapter 743

The cold wind blew Brian sober up a lot.

He took a taxi back to the hospital.

He tiptoed to the door of the ward. Through the glass, he saw his mother guarding by the side. Grace was sleeping on a small bed.

Brian did not go in. He sat on the bench at the door all night.

Early the next morning, Brian drove back to Francis's residence.

That night, Grace finally had a good night's sleep.

Perhaps it was because Brian's proposal yesterday had given her hope, and the pressure in her heart had lessened a lot.

Austin's things were all in Francis's residence, and she had to wear hospital gowns during the few days of hospitalizing. Austin looked depressed. Grace planned to get some colorful clothes for Austin to change into, wondering if that would make Austin feel better.

Jasmine stayed in the ward with Austin, and Grace returned to Francis's residence alone.

Melvin asked Grace about Austin's condition with concern and said some comforting words.

"Thank you, Melvin. I should go up and pack Austin's clothes," said Grace.

After two steps, Grace suddenly thought of something and turned to look at Melvin. "Where's Mr. Casper?"

"Mr. Casper and Mr. Brian are in the study. They seem to be discussing something," Melvin replied.

Grace nodded. "I see."

She went upstairs to Austin's room, found a bag, and collected a few of the clothes Austin usually liked to wear.

Grace passed by the study door to go downstairs, and unexpectedly, she heard a low roar from inside.

"No! End of the discussion." It was Casper's voice, sounding angry.

Grace could not help but stop and take a step toward the door.

The voices inside became clearer.

"Grandpa! Austin is my daughter! Do you want me to watch my daughter die?" Brian bellowed.

Grace heard the sound of someone slamming the table. "Bastard! You and Grace were originally in the wrong to get married! The child is the product of your mistake! You must stop the blunder! noveldrama

"I won't allow it! As long as I'm around, don't even think about marrying her, let alone having another child with her! I won't allow that vulgar woman to have your child again!" Casper boomed

Grace's heart sank as she heard Casper's words. A chill came from all directions. Brian gritted his teeth and growled, "Is your heart made of stone? Can you watch your great-grandson die?!"

After a while, Casper said,

bet

"Half-siblings can also match bone marrow. If you want to save that child marry the Langley girl and have a child with her."

Grace's legs went soft. It was as if she could not breathe. Her brain was a little

short of oxygen. Her footsteps were flustered as she fled.

Brian's heart plunged to his feet. "Grandpa, I'm disappointed in you! Whether you

agree or not, Grace is the only woman I want to marry."

Casper's eyes widened in anger. "You! How dare you!"

Brian ignored him and walked out of the study.

Grace returned to the hospital like a soulless puppet. Jasmine had stayed up almost the entire night. She was leaning against the bed and napping.

Grace walked in. "Jasmine, you should go home and catch some sleep."

Jasmine woke up with a start. She rubbed her temples and looked up at Grace. "Grace, you look awful. Are you feeling unwell?"
