Falling for My Contractual Wife

Chapter 733

Nelson stared straight into Grace's eyes and said, "Because I like you."

Grace was stunned for a moment. After a while, she blinked and said, "Nelson, we're not suitable."

"Then who are you compatible with? Do you think you and Brian are compatible? Grandpa will never agree to you being with him."

"It has nothing to do with him. Even without him, without Austin, you and I wouldn't be compatible. We're not the same kind of people. I'm not the same as Brian either." Grace's attitude was very cold. Nelson looked at her and did not know what to say for a moment.

At this moment, Grace felt a warm touch on his arm.

She looked down and saw a stream of dark red blood slowly flowing from Austin's nose to her arm.

She shouted in panic, "Austin!"

Nelson frowned and hurriedly started the car. "I'll send you to the hospital immediately."

Grace was so frightened that her face turned pale. Her hands trembled as she pulled out a tissue to wipe her nosebleed.

"My baby, can you not scare Mommy?" She cried and rubbed her face against Austin's face, only to realize that her entire body was burning.

Grace felt even more afraid. "Nelson! Austin has a fever. Drive faster, I beg you."

Nelson nodded and said, "Okay." As he spoke, he stepped harder on the accelerator.

This place was quite far from the best hospital and the situation was urgent. Nelson could only drive to the nearest hospital first.

Austin had already fainted from the fever. She could not even drink the medicine.

The doctor immediately injected Austin with fever-reducing medicine.noveldrama

Grace sat worriedly in front of the bed. Her eyes were red and swollen.

She held Austin's hand and sobbed uncontrollably. "Why did this happen to my daughter? She's only five years old, but she's suffered a pain that noone else will experience in their entire lives. I'd rather I bear all of this."

Nelson sat beside her and held her shoulder. He comforted her, "Don't worry. Austin should only have a fever because she was frightened and hadn't eaten for a long time."

Grace reached out and touched Ausitn's forehead. When she realized that the temperature had dropped, her heart gradually fell back to her chest.

Recalling that Austin had never had a nosebleed before, Grace turned to him and asked, "Did she hit her nose?"

Nelson immediately shook his head. "No."

A moment later, he added, "After I rushed over to save her, she wasn't injured or hit at all."

Grace frowned and thought that Austin might have hit her nose while the kidnapper was taking her away.

At this moment, the doctor suddenly walked in. "You are Austin's mother, right?"

Grace stood up. "I am. Is there something wrong with my daughter?"

The doctor looked at the report in his hand and said, "Your daughter's platelets are abnormal. I suggest that you go to Community Hospital for a detailed examination."

Grace didn't quite understand. "What do you mean? Is she anemic?"

The doctor shook his head with a serious expression. "No, there is limited equipment in our hospital, but according to your daughter's symptoms, I'm a little worried that it might be leukemia."

As soon as the doctor finished speaking, Grace's face turned pale. She felt dizzy

and her legs went weak. She fell back.

Nelson grabbed her shoulder in time. "Grace."

Seeing this, the doctor comforted her. "Of course, I'm just guessing. Everything

can only be confirmed after a detailed examination. There's no need for you to panic."
