They’re grown adults, yet still so childish.” Though Glenn’s words sounded critical, a smile lingered on his face.

Elaine walked over with two glasses of milk, handing him one.

Glenn snapped a quick photo and posted it in the group chat.

“Make sure to get some rest, everyone.”

All three Johns brothers knew about Elaine’s habit of bringing milk to Glenn, and once again, Waylon felt an invisible stab.

Frustrated, he angrily switched off his phone, vowing to find a girlfriend to turn things around.

Notifications from the group chat kept coming. Madisyn and Andrew were strolling by a small river in the park when she pulled out her phone, thinking it was something urgent, only to be amused by what she saw.

Andrew, standing beside Madisyn and unaware of what was on her phone, noticed her soft chuckle and asked, “What’s so funny?” Madisyn glanced at him, then handed over her phone, revealing the source of her amusement. “Here, take a look.”

Andrew accepted the phone and scrolled through the chat, his expression subtly changing as he read.

He hadn’t anticipated Waylon causing such a stir. As he moved to return the phone, Andrew noticed the smile still on Madisyn’s face and hesitated.

After all, it was because of Waylon showing off his sister that he had met Madisyn. He figured he should do something now.

Gently, Andrew asked, “Do you think we should help Waylon find a girlfriend?”

Madisyn looked surprised at his suggestion but shook her head after a moment.

“It’s not hard for him to find someone, but he’s looking for the one he can spend his life with. I think we should let fate handle it.”

Taking Andrew’s hand in hers, Madisyn gave it a gentle shake and softly added, “Just like it did for us.”

Their eyes met, filled with warmth and affection. Without another word, they continued their walk by the river.

The next morning, at the Riggs Group headquarters, Docie sat at her desk, her chin resting on her hand, as she replayed the memory of Dane rescuing her the previous night and escorting her home.
