Of The Bea 286
After taunting for a while and seeing no reaction from Nys, the gray rabbit grew bored.
Just as it was about to hop back into its burrow, Nyx suddenly pounced.

After countless attempts and practice, she had gained full control over her body, able to maximize her strength and speed.
In an instant, she unleashed terrifying speed, pinning the gray rabbit down and locking its throat with her bite. The mocking sounds stopped abruptly.
The male lions happened to return from their hunt and were stunned by the scene. After recovering, they were overjoyed.
The gray rabbit let out a desperate and regretful scream. Being killed by a lion was one thing, but to die at the paws of a clumsy lioness, becoming her first catch, was humiliating
The other rabbits scurried deeper into their burrows, not daring to show their faces, fearing they might be next.
Nyx proudly carried the gray rabbit to her mates and presented it to them. “This is for you.
Though it wasn't enough to fill their teeth, it was her first catch, and it held special significance.
The two male lions couldn't bear to eat it. After some thought, they released the trembling gray rabbit and sternly warned it, "You'd better work hard to stay alive. Don't you dare move away."
This way, Nyx's gift to them would remain, and they could see it every day.
The gray rabbit, having narrowly escaped death, scurried back into its burrow.
It wanted to move away but was afraid of being hunted down by the lions, so it had no choice but to live in constant fear.
To make matters worse, none of its mates sympathized with it. Instead, they mocked it.
"Serves you right!"
"Who told you to go out and provoke them?"
"Lions are still lions! Who 2
"You deserved it"
gave you the courage to go outside?"
With her first success, Nyx seemed to have unlocked a new level. Although she didn't succeed every time afterward, her failure rate decreased significantly.
Her prey was no longer limited to rabbits. Early in the morning, Nyx began her training, chasing a small warthog.
Just as she was about to catch it, her prey was suddenly snatched away
Nyx skidded to a halt. She looked up and saw an unfamiliar sub-adult male lion holding her warthog in its mouth.
Unlike Theon and Felix, this lion wasn't particularly handsome. His mane was only partially grown, short and stubby, making him look awkward—a common appearance for sub-adult male lions.
Despite his somewhat comical appearance, he posed a significant threat to the lioness.
Nyx grew wary and slowly backed away.
“Are you Nyx?” the lion asked, returning the warthog to her. “Don't be afraid. I mean no harm. Can you take me to Theon

and Felix
Along with the gossip, the names of the three lions had spread far and wide. Though hard to pronounce, they were memorable and quickly replaced the more common names like Black Mane and Golden Mane.
The lion's voice sounded young and lively, like a cheerful big boy.
But Nyx couldn't relax. Her fur bristled with tension.
As they stood in a standoff, two furious roars echoed, and Theon and Felix canse charging over, radiating killing intent.
A hight was imminent. Even one-on-one, this sub-adult lion was no match for either Theon or Felix, let alone both of them
at once.
Though he was a well-known rogue lion with considerable fighting skills, he was completely outmatched this time.
Just before his throat was bitten, he hastily pleaded, Tim not here to fight! I'm here to form an alliance with you!"
During his time as a rogue lion, he had often heard the names Theon and Felix. Their gossip was interesting, and their strength was said to be top-notch, so he decided to seek an alliance.
Male lions preferred to ally with strong mates.
"My name is Curled Ear. I may not be as strong as you, but I'm no weakling," he introduced himself.
Though it sounded boastful, he wasn't lying.
In the past. Theon and Felix might not have rejected a new ally. But now, they exchanged a glance and refused without hesitation. "We don't need an alliance. Leave
For Nyx's safety, they couldn't allow a potentially threatening male lion to stay.
As male lions themselves, they understood the aggressive nature of their kind.
Besides themselves, they didn't trust any other male lion.
Curled Ear couldn't believe he had been rejected so outright. He wanted to argue, but Theon and Felix bared their fangs in warning "Leave now."
Reluctantly, Curled Ear walked away, glancing back every few steps. But he wasn't ready to give up.
He thought a lion aiming to dominate the savannah needed allies. He must have scared their lioness, leaving
a bad first impression. If he showed enough sincerity and improved his image, they would surely accept him.
In the afternoon, Nyx woke up from her nap in the flowers and caught the scent of meat in the air. She opened her drowsy eyes and saw a waterbuck.
The prey was fresh, still steaming. But Theon and Felix were nowhere to be seen, and she didn't know where they had gone.
Nyx slowly approached the waterbuck, deciding to wait for her mates to return before eating.
Not long after, the two male lions returned, carrying another prey.
Nyx was confused. She thought, "Why have they caught so much?"
Before she could ask, the two male lions' expressions darkened. “Did that guy come back again?"

"Who?" Nyx sniffed the air. "Curled Ear?"
She wasn't a real lioness, so she wasn't used to identifying animals by scent. For other lions, it was a passive
skill, but she had
to actively use it.
Seeing her confusion, the male lions relaxed slightly. Noticing she hadn't touched the waterbuck, they felt even better
"Don't eat this, they said, carrying the waterbuck away and tossing it aside.
After finishing their meal, they planned to find Curled Ear and give him a beating, warning him never to approach Nyx

While secretly making plans, they tore apart their own prey and fed it to Nyx as usual.noveldrama
Though Nyx had grown quite a bat and could eat on her own, they had grown accustomed to feeding her and didn't suggest changing the routine.
Nyx thoughtfully glanced at the discarded waterbuck.
Having an extra ally wouldn't hurt her mates. They weren't the type to exclude others.
She guessed they had refused Curled Ear and were so wary because they feared he might pose a threat to her. But so far, Curled Ear seemed friendly toward her.
If her mates wanted to dominate the savannah in the future, having more allies would reduce the risks.
After some thought. Nyx cautiously suggested, “Should you consider accepting Curled Ear's alliance?" Before she could finish, the two male lions froze, staring at her in disbelief.
The smell of jealousy filled the air. “Why? Do you like him? He just hunted for you once, and you already like
him?"
What do you think?
