The room was silent in a state of shock.

"My apologies moon-goddess, but what do you mean by branding me a lycan," Enzo asked as he bowed his head.

"Maybe branding is the wrong word. Because it's or of a lycan spirit being given to your wolf. Rocky will remain rocky in spirit. He is just being given a stronger form, a Lycan." The moon goodness explains.

"So will have." Enzo starts but the moon goodness interrupts him.

"A wolf form and a Lycan form. Much like your mate's father, King Logan. Yes, that is what will happen." She says, smiling, and turns to Noah.

"And you. You already feel your power, because your power is different. Yes, your father is a king and he will remain a king, just as your mother will be queen. You are not just a king, and you are the king over all the kings, born into being their leader. The kings, king, so to say." The moon goddess says, and Noah bows his head.noveldrama

"Your job is demanding and sometimes dangerous. Therefore, you need people you can trust. Therefore, you will meet your second chance mate when the time is right. Your family seems to be lucky to have a second chance." She says and smiles.

"But, you need to know, that none of your future children will inherit the responsibility and the power you have been given. You have been given this power because the stars around the moon have seen that the world will need you." She says, and Noah goes on one knee.

"Moon-goodness, I know I am still essentially just a big kid, but I have grown up knowing I am special. That I someday would have a big responsibility to live up to. I intend to do my best at doing what I have to, with or without a mate, I will not disappoint you." Noah says, bowing his head.

"I know you will, my child and I know you have all the help you possibly need, so I ask you. Do you approve of your Beta to be granted a lycan?" She asks him as she looks at him, and he looks up.

"I can't think of any guy more deserving of getting a Lycan. And you are right, and

I need my Beta to be, if not as strong, but close to my strength. I trust Enzo with

my life. He has never shown anything but loyalty to my family.” Noah says seriously, and the moon-goodness smiles brightly.

The room is quiet. And she turned to look at Enzo again, who stood and respectfully waited while she talked to Noah.

"Being Beta, means you are his right hand, the one who steps in when he is not there It also means sometimes you need to make some tough decisions. You can also be asked to carry out any punishment that may be needed. But you are also the one the king can lean on when he needs it. Are you ready to do that?" The moon-goddess says and looks seriously at Enzo.

"I am, I will serve him, in the best way possible, be a support, be the right hand in cases where it is needed. To carry out his order should he give me one." Enzo says and bows his head.

The room is quiet, and everyone is looking at the moon-goddess and Enzo, who are on his knees with his head bowed. The moon goodness says some words in a language that I have never heard before. Then, a light bowl slowly comes through the ceiling and moves down towards Enzo.

"Enzo, Rocky, this spirit belonged to

a very beloved and good Beta

among the lycans. He was a fair, but strong Betà. And in the end, that cost him his life because he refused to carry out an order to kill someone innocent. The king back then killed his own beta." The moon goodness said.

"He has offered to give his spirit and soul to Rocky, which means that he will become a part of Rocky and essentially stop existing. And Rocky will remain who he is but will be stronger, and of course, he will be able to shift into a lycan." She explains, and many look surprised.

The light ball came closer and stopped when it was right in front of Enzo. He looked up at the moon-goddess who nodded her head just enough for him to see it. He slowly reaches out a hand and touches the light ball, and the light spreads to cover his own body.

"It feels powerful but welcoming. But it feels good." Enzo says trying to explain what it feels like.

"Lorenzo and Rocky, do you accept this soul?"

"We do." Both their voices say. I have heard Rocky's voice through Kaila. That's how I knew it was him.

The next thing we see is the center of the light going into Enzo's chest, and a few seconds later, the light is gone. Enzo is sitting on his knees, with his head bowed for a long time.

"Just do it, Beta. Please show them your new form. Show them that the Beta is worthy of the true king." The moon-goddess says. And before anyone can say more, Enzo stands up as his body shifts into a deep gray almost black Lycan with blue eyes.
