Alpha's Second Chance

ENZO

Rose was acting a little suspicious and I could feel she had a secret. But at the same time, I could feel that it was something good, so I just let her have her secret for now. She came out of her closet, and I had never seen her more beautiful. Her dress was long and blood-red the skirt and chest part were in two lays, silk underneath and a lace over it, that also went to her elbows. Her hair was put up and she proudly showed my mark.

"Wauw, you look absolutely beautiful," I whisper, and she blushes.

"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself. Who knew you could clean up so well." She says teasing me and I laugh.

"I'm happy I don't have to dress like this every day," I say, dressed in a black suit with a shirt in the same color as her dress.

"Yes, me too." She says, and we leave the house and walk towards the castle.

We meet the rest of the family halfway there and walk there together. Everyone is dressed up. Logan and Olivia look very royalty, but it is expected tonight. Both Logan and Noah are dressed much like me but have added a tie, and the black suit is a tone or two lighter.

We ended up in the castle and found Kyle and Kate waiting inside, and we walked to the ballroom. Logan and Olivia walked first when we walked inside, along with Noah by their side. Next, Kyle and Kate walked in as the Beta to the ruling King, and then Rose and I walked in after them as the next Beta. Behind us, the twins came along with Matt and Anna, and their older kids.

We all walked to a table set up just for us on the podium, and all the guests sat at tables around the room. I looked around and was a little amazed by seeing so many alphas, betas, and their families here.

When we were all seated, Noah was looking around, deeply concentrated, without doubt, trying to find his mate. Logan stood up, and everyone in the ballroom got quiet, waiting for him to speak.

"Hello, everyone who is here tonight.

We are happy to see so many people here for a celebration that we should have had last year. But because of the circumstances about what happened our son, Noah, wished to wait. So this year, we celebrate him as we would have done when he turned eighteen.

You all know the story about my son and the responsibility that the moon goddess has given him. And you all felt the power from the true king, waking up last year. At first, it was not very pleasant as his power was released brutally. But he has worked hard this past year to learn to control it and will continue to do so.

I am very proud of my son and how he is growing into a man who I know will be a strong, good, and fair king. So today we celebrate him and have a big party with good food, the chance to mingle and talk with us as well as the others who are here tonight.

Tonight by midnight Noah will show his beast, with the blessing of the moon goodness.

Enjoy the food, everyone." Logan says greeting everyone and then sits down as the food begins to be served.

ROSE

The food was delicious, but mom always made sure that it is. There was a happy atmosphere in the room, and everyone was talking. But suddenly, I felt Kaila growl in my mind, a low, deep, and dangerous growl of hate.

'What is wrong?' I ask her.

'They are here.' She sneers.

'Who are here?' I ask her.

'The scumbag, Romeo, and his wolf is trying to communicate with me.' She growls angrily. And I look around closely.

I look, table by table, and then I spot his Alpha, and there he is, Romeo, staringnoveldrama

right at me. I look away and look at Enzo, and I want him to know.

"Romeo, the wolf that I told you about." I begin as he looks at me.

"The one who rejected you because he thought you had no wolf?" He asks.

"Yes, he is here," I tell him.

"His wolf is trying to talk to Kaila, she is not happy,” I tell him

"Rocky says he feels someone trying to push, but as you say, she is unhappy and won't let it through; he is helping her," Enzo says, and I nod my head.

"Hey, look at me. It will be okay. I am right here." Enzo promise me. And I nod my head.

I ignore Romeo's eyes and feel Kaila relax after Rocky connects with her. And I began to think that we could do this, that he would leave us alone. Then spot some friendly faces and smiles when I see them getting over here.

Alpha Leonardo and Alexander are bowing their heads, and I see the surprise on Enzo's face and wider smile.

"Your Highnesses, we want to thank you for the invitation to this happy celebration, and we both will give our allegiance to the True King" Alpha Leonardo says.

"We are at your service and so is our country. You helped bring peace.” Alpha Alexander finishes.

The room is quietly waiting. Noah stands up and moves to them.
