The Martial Unity

Chapter 2502 Qualitative Upgrade

Chapter 2502  Qualitative Upgrade

Once the first session of foundational training with Ieyasu was complete, Rui immediately jumped into what was his favorite part of Project Forge.

The system of thought.

"I need to simulate each possible technique, measure the probability of victory of each one of them, and then pick the one with the highest probability of victory," Rui mused. "But first, how do I define all possible techniques mathematically or scientifically?"

Everything needed to be defined on paper and as an equation.

"Techniques themselves are just sequences of actions," he noted. "How do I define a sequence of actions scientifically?"

The answer came to him almost immediately.

"Each action is a motion of my body," Rui realized. "Each action is the reason for the cells in my body moving, mostly muscles. Thus I can define all techniques as a sequence of actions, each action as a set of motions, and each motion as a set of expansions or contractions."

Thus, the torque in each muscle group could be represented as T_j where j could range from one to six hundred and fifty for each of the six hundred and fifty muscles in the body. Each muscular motion could be represented mathematically in a partial differential equation for torque. Thus, each technique could be represented as an integral of all these forces acting on different points across the entire body within the body, allowing him to mathematically define each technique.

After that, he just needed to input each possible combination and permutation of each technique across the entirety of all six hundred and fifty muscle groups. This would account for every single technique that he could possibly execute.

Once he mathematically defined every possible technique he could possibly execute, he could then simulate each and every one of them against the known information of his opponent that was obtained with the Angel of Laplace.

Each simulation would need a high amount of accuracy to account for high principles in biology, physics, chemistry, and other fields in order to perfectly simulate the outcome with each possibility. It would also need to measure the compatibility of each technique with the rest of his Martial Art and the rest of his Martial Mind. In addition, it would also need to account for the compatibility of the technique with his opponent. Some techniques were particularly suited for particular opponents; it could be the difference between heaven and earth to have a technique that was perfectly compatible against an opponent and a technique that was incompatible.

Then he would need to accurately measure the probability through a complex set of parameters, such as damage incurred on both sides and stamina depletion and so on and so forth, that would allow him to evaluate each simulation in as objective a manner as possible. This requirement in particular caused the complexity of the problem to skyrocket, making it one of the most data intensive systems of thought he had ever created. It was in the same realm as the complete Angel of Laplace.

The simulation that scored the highest in this probability function would be the one that he would deploy. This technique would undoubtedly make an enormous impact on the battle if it happened to be the most antithetical out of millions if not billions of possible techniques.

"Certainly a very mentally intensive process," Rui murmured. "But it can be completed rather quickly nonetheless. If it ends up taking too long, I can just temporarily amplify my cognition with Megamind." © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

However, he was certain that his Martial Mind would be good enough in an overwhelming majority of battles. He immediately began fleshing out all the nitty gritty mathematics of the complex system of thought. As he did, he realized the sheer amount of potential the technique had. He would reach a whole other level of flexibility, versatility, and diversity, the likes of which he could have never imagined before.

"With this, my Martial Art will have truly reached a level of adaptability that is akin to water."

That was extremely important and significant to Rui and to Project Water.

In hindsight, none of his previous systems of thought did as much for adaptive evolution as Project Forge was projected to. The most adaptively evolutionary systems of thought were the Tree of Life and the VOID algorithm; the Angel of Laplace was auxiliary to the VOID algorithm and the SOUL System was supplementary to his prediction which in and of itself was meant to serve adaptive evolution.

However, in terms of pure adaptive evolution, this new system of thought was shaping up to trump the rest.

The realization got him fired up and extremely motivated.

"This project will change everything," he realized. He could feel in his bones that it would qualitatively elevate his Martial Art in ways that he couldn't even imagine. He felt as though he was truly going deeper and deeper down his Martial Path, down uncharted territories.

Uncharted power awaited him at the end of this technique project.

This realization put him in an especially immersive state in which he dedicated the sum totality of his mind and soul to creating what could potentially be the most important system of thought he would ever create. It was the first actual answer to the question how he could possibly perfectly adaptively evolve to everything when he only had a limited number of techniques, each of which took years on years to train.

Thus, it would take an absurd amount of time to manually create the most optimal technique to adaptively evolve to everything. This system was the solution to that problem.

By creating brand-new techniques on the fly, he would be able to solve a problem that was too difficult to solve otherwise. Who knew how many centuries it would take for him to create a technique for everything. Not only would it take longer, it was also sub-optimal and not in alignment with the concept of adaptive evolution and of Water.

He couldn't wait to see the end result of the project. -
